Our law firm of McIntosh & Pease has provided the Brantford community with excellence in legal services for more than 60 years. Bob McIntosh was called to the bar in 1957 and maintained a successful and highly respected practice in our community for several decades. Ted Pease purchased the firm from Bob upon his retirement from the practice of law on August 1, 2001.
Called to the Ontario bar in 1979 Ted first practiced law in Toronto where he and his wife raised their 4 children. He moved his office to North York then to Richmond Hill where he maintained an office until just a few years ago when he sold his GTA practice to a lawyer on the same floor in his old Richmond Hill office building. Since taking over Bob’s practice Ted has maintained our firm's strong traditions of professionalism, high-quality client service and personalized attention to clients.
Brantford Wills, Estate and Trust Lawyers
Wills and estate planning, and estate, trust and power of attorney administration are our core areas of practice. We offer clients not only simple will drafting services but also a comprehensive perspective on their estate planning with respect to their financial and personal goals. To meet our client objectives, we call upon our colleagues in other professions, including:
The bulk of our work is assisting executors with the administration of Estates and Trusts, and helping attorneys for Property manage the affairs of their relative or friend.
As part of our solicitor services, we also represent clients in dispute resolution proceedings that are not already in Court, or imminently heading there, in cases involving conflicts over wills, estates and trusts. Experience shows that we have been able to avoid Court by negotiating settlements most of the time. In the rare cases where this is not possible, we refer the clients to experienced litigation counsel.
This practice focus, coupled with our extensive experience, is a tremendous asset to our clients who leave our offices secure in the knowledge they have received high-quality legal advice appropriate to their situation.
